Individual coaching is
highly tailored and targeted at long-term development. Coaching
programmes start with an initial assessment meeting to establish
needs and goals including psychological assessments, 360-degree
assessments and non-verbal behaviour analysis where appropriate.
Coaching sessions last 1-2 hours, are usually held every 2-4 weeks and
may be planned for out-of-hours to fit into busy diaries.
Coaching is targeted at
long term development and therefore includes self development
assignments between sessions to truly imbed these changes into
normal behaviour.
Unlimited email and
telephone support is available.
- Management
communication:
Individual
coaching for two people from a financial services company as part
of their development to group directorships. Both the
individuals have communication issues that are impeding their
progress. We are working with each of them individually to
highlight the importance of these issues in relation to their
development and coaching them to improve in the relevant areas.
- Personal
impact:
Coaching
a trainee lawyer on communicating a more positive attitude. His
reviews have identified negative attitude through his
communication. However, his work in general is very positive and
therefore the company want to try and change the perception of his
attitude to help him in his career progression. This included a
full voice and non-verbal behaviour analysis to identify why he is
perceived to have a negative attitude.
- English
pronunciation:
Working
with a German individual from a private equity firm and a French
individual from a pharmaceutical company on pronunciation of
English and spoken communication in general to improve clarity,
presentation and influence. This included pronunciation
diagnostics prior to coaching and each individual was given a
pronunciation book with CDs to practice in their own time.
- Leadership
development:
Working
with an individual from the middle east on the cultural and communication
issues that are impeding his career progression and coaching him
to enhance his leadership capabilities in preparation for
promotion. This included an in depth 360 review to give the
individual a clear picture of how they are perceived by others in
the organisation and to highlight the main areas for development.
- Media
coaching: Ran a series of
individual media coaching sessions for the senior management of a
technology innovation consultancy firm to prepare them for the
increased media exposure planned for next year. We met with each
of the management team, including management from overseas
offices, for 3 hours and took them through comprehensive coaching
on how to handle the media including two practice media interviews
with video playback. Follow up sessions are now planned to keep them on top of their game
