Workshops are designed closely with you to fit your needs in skills
development, quantity of participants, time and budget. All
workshops are highly interactive, combining advice, discussion and
exercises to gain skills and build confidence. Workbooks contain
the theory for participants to read at their leisure. With
presentation workshops we do not use a video camera at the initial
stage, as is popular practice with many other training companies, as
the evidence shows that this only serves to crush self-esteem and
confidence. However we do recognise the powerful effect of this
equipment and do use the camera sensitively throughout the workshop
to give greater insight and build self awareness whilst focussing on
positive development.
- Presentation skills workshop:
This 2-day workshop for 6-8 people was designed for a financial
transaction company in 2007 and runs approximately 6 times a year.
The workshop is designed to give skills and build confidence in
presenting. It is highly practical with various
exercises and mini presentations of increasing demand culminating
in a final presentation on the second day which receives
360 degree feedback. Areas covered are: nerves, voice and other
non-verbal behaviour, structure, engagement, visuals, notes, and
handling questions.
- Personal impact workshop:
This workshop was designed for a payment systems company. The
workshop was designed to give attendees greater awareness of their
own personal impact in terms of voice and non-verbal behaviour, an
understanding of the importance of these aspects of our
communication and how to adapt their style for greater influence
and persuasion. The workshop comprises of: an initial 15 min
recording session per person for analysis, a 1 day group workshop
for a maximum of 8 people covering theory analysis reports and
practical exercises, and finally a 2-hour individual session for
each participant to work specifically on key aspects from their
own analysis report.
- Telephone influencing:
This half-day workshop was designed for the finance team of a pharmaceutical company.
Whilst this team is part of the finance function, they are
responsible for ongoing client orders of drugs and hence have
sales targets to meet monthly and quarterly. However they have
not had any form of sales training before so we designed a half
day to give the essential skills and role-play practice needed to
impact on their targets
- Media training:
eloquential have been running a very successful workshop on media
skills for a components distributor since 2006. The 1-day
workshop is designed for up to 6 key spokespeople from the company
to gain the essential skills and role-play experience needed to
handle a media interview effectively. We concentrate on the
balance of control between the journalist and the interviewee,
getting participants to understand how much control they have over
the situation and how to use it effectively. We also include
2 role-play interviews so that the participants can try out their
skills in a safe environment and build confidence in approaching the
real thing.
Where relevant we can also provide: video
footage from the workshop for participants to review, copies of all
written work on a memory stick, non-verbal analysis reports,
voiceprints, aide memoirs etc. After the workshop, we can
provide individual and group written feedback, development
surgeries, refresher sessions, articles and reminder emails to
promote continuous development. |
