LAMDA Coaching

PUPIL EXAMINATION RESULTS:

I am delighted to be a part of Starlight Stars and through them am able to offer LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) coaching for all ages, specialising in the communication and performance examinations.

The LAMDA syllabus offers a variety of examinations in: Performance (Acting, Devising Drama & Mime), Communication (Speaking Verse and Prose, Reading for Performance & Public Speaking) and Musical Theatre. Whilst I only specialise in the communication and performance exams, Starlight Stars have other wonderful tutors available who cover Musical Theatre.

These develop a broad range of life skills including: improved confidence in speaking, listening and answering questions, expanded vocabulary, greater fluency, ability to receive feedback constructively, enhanced self-expression, and increased ability to memorise and recall information. These critical skills will enhance the learner’s self-confidence to engage and contribute fully, whether at school, in further education, in work, or in the community: in other words, empowering an individual to fulfil their potential. Students also acquire UCAS tariff points from grade 6 onwards.

I provide lessons in the evenings in both Puckeridge Community Centre and Anstey School House. And teach classes within schools in Cambridge and Hertfordshire. Providing these lessons in school can contribute to achieving an ArtsMark Award and may enhance your Ofsted rating. I am very proud to have a track record of a 100% examination pass rate, with 79% of my students achieving the highest level of pass with distinction.

LAMDA examinations are open to all ages and, whilst they are generally targeted at school-age children, can be hugely beneficial to adults too. You can enter these exams at any stage according to your ability and I therefore see many adults entering at Level 3 to complete their Bronze, Silver and Gold medals.

For businesses, the Public Speaking medal examinations are a perfect way for developing your talent with clear milestones for them to achieve, external proof of their development and recognised certificates of achievement.
